Best Apple Pie Recipe
All You Need is Love & Pie
Can you smell it now? Fresh rolls are cooling on the counter, the aroma of the best apple pie recipe you lovingly baked the day before continues to linger through each room of the home, while a turkey bakes in the oven. Your arm aches as you mash a giant bowl of mashed potatoes. Cranberries begin to pop in their sugary syrup as sweet potatoes soak in their brown sugar and warm melted butter.Â
That feeling of, “Oh, it’s so good to be home sweet home!” There’s nothing better than coming home to heart-felt love and comfort! Such a place can make you forget whatever you need to forget just for a time like this. A time to stop and smell the best pie, feel the love, and count each blessing! A time when priorities become simply about being together as friends and family.
It’s a Friendsgiving Thing
My friend and I have this pie thing! If we ever have a disagreement or some tension, we know we have two things we can fall back on that essentially hits a reset button on our friendship.
It’s so simple! All you need is love and pie!

Anything is possible with love! God is love, and we both know our friendship works best with God in it! We actually pray together, and it is a beautiful blessing and gift that makes our friendship so very special.
The next thing we have is pie! I don’t know how it started, but we said, “You’re gonna get a pie in the face one day.” So we just laughed and laughed and forgot about whatever had created the tension. Letting any negative feelings go allowed us to laugh at ourselves. Ever since we have pied each other in the face in conversation. We have never put a pie in each other’s face, but that’s coming, I promise you!
The Best thing for our friendship is pie.
But it’s our special “thing” in our friendship and always brings us back to laughter and peace. It’s a little piece of my life I wish to share with you during this beautiful time of year! Thanksgiving is actually my favorite holiday! I love coming together in gratitude to celebrate our many blessings!
Even if we don’t think something in our life is a blessing because maybe God’s plan is not clear to us, I know we can trust His plan! Sometimes we get curve balls or maybe pied in the face by God with different situations that arise in our lives. It’s possibly His way of turning us around, or for His will, be done. We may not always understand or like the pie or the curve ball, but we can be sure God loves us and will work everything out for our good! I learned that God often surprises us and brings us closer to himself. Which is the best blessing of all!Â
My friends, please have a most blessed and Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy all the love and the best pie! You are a blessing to me!Â
I am thankful for all of you!
